Links:

Here I link to the links of this company, it's website and the people/person behind it.

This company and service/application isn't supported by the NHS or "approved by the NHS" as NHS England doesn't use this language. I'll link below to what NHS England says to use for when to use it's branding (logos, text and colours) and who can use it.

Anyway, lets start with the company called : REHAB MY PATIENT

First, they aren't listed on Companies House (a .GOV website) as there's no company. Got that bit ? so let's start to deep-dive into who is running it.

Main Website : https://www.rehabmypatient.com

https://www.rehabmypatient.com/privacy_policy

Meet Tim Allardyce , who runs it all and designed the websites and the "platform". Here he say's he has been registered on the HCPC register since 2002 , here :

who say's he's part of this nhs thing actually run by a university with no connection to the nhs : https://nhscep.com/

rehab my patient also run : https://www.sif.health/privacy

faq's for patients :

want to work for Tim and co ? then he offers FREE (tax free accommodation too at the workplace), see > https://www.surreyphysio.co.uk/overseas-applications/

want to be registered on the HCPC register in the UK ? want to cheat ? here Tim and company tells you how to fill in the application form, see > https://www.surreyphysio.co.uk/hcpc-registration-guide-for-physios/

hmm, so.. this same company is working with NHS Gp's and recruiting in Social Prescribers into NHS Surgery's, see > https://www.surreyphysio.co.uk/jobs/ . Here's a problem... Social Prescribers cannot access patients personal medical records it's against the law (access to medical records act, data protection act 2018). Will NHS England protect patients data from being accessed by Social Prescribers like this ?

so what data is entered by the clinic person into this service ? see > https://www.rehabmypatient.com/help/patients/how-do-i-add-my-patient-details

what about patient consent ? well it's not considered here ! see > https://www.rehabmypatient.com/help/privacy-security/do-i-need-to-get-patient-consent

is this service collecting personal patient details, sure thing ! see > https://www.rehabmypatient.com/help/exercise-plans/how-can-i-email-an-exercise-plan-to-a-patient

what about adding a logo.. or even better the NHS logo to make it look like it's come from the NHS ? sure, it can do this, see here > https://www.rehabmypatient.com/help/letterhead/can-i-add-my-own-clinic-logo

how do I make a exercise plan ? and is it supported by NHS England (readers it isn't supported by the NHS) see here > https://www.rehabmypatient.com/help/exercise-plans

now let's do the fun part, as this thing costs ! see > https://www.rehabmypatient.com/help/subscription-payment . So hey NHS england, how much are you paying for this and why ?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Facts:

1. did you know it's illegal to use the NHS logo and branding without asking the NHS ?
read about it here :

The NHS logo is protected by law. It is a UK trade mark owned by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.  It is also protected by copyright.

There's more when it comes to the NHS identity, here's who cannot use it, and this includes - Endorsements and "approved by.." :

Endorsements

The NHS or the Department of Health and Social Care cannot endorse or be seen as endorsing third party goods or services, regardless of if the third party has provided goods and services to the NHS or DHSC. Similarly, NHS staff members are not permitted to use their status as an NHS employee to endorse a third party in a private or professional capacity. Please refer to the NHS Identity principles.

Apps and Websites

Third party suppliers of apps and digital platforms that are listed in the NHS Digital buying catalogue may use the NHS Identity in accordance with the following terms.

Third parties must not use terminology which implies further involvement, such as approved, supported, accredited, endorsed, authorised, or certified.

If a third party wishes to promote the fact that their app is used by an NHS organisation then they may explain it in plain text, in a purely descriptive manner on their corporate website or in the app store description.
