no mention of legislations inc: Equality Act 2010, DPA 2018, Employment laws and Human Rights Act for example.
the consultation questions are mostly about A2W. A2W contract is with Maximus right now! I wonder how much input they had in this ?
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/6-4-million-boost-for-employers-to-support-disabled-people
this gets cited in it, cost over 6.4 mill, and now looks like this
https://www.support-with-employee-health-and-disability.dwp.gov.uk/discussing-possible-changes
with no mention of any laws
worth looking at the guidence on it all here
press release on it which is different to the green paper

here's the ADMs and staff guides updated
the impact of JC on disabled people, with this on how UC gets its data. Under DATA which is lower down in the document, it says this
" The employment data within RAPID is Pay as You Earn (PAYE) data from HMRC data extracts and includes all employment and pension records that are submitted via employer’s payroll processes. In contrast to the published impact evaluation which did not have access to self-employment data, the HMRC Self-Assessment extract is used for the purposes of assessing tax liabilities for the self-employed, people with multiple employments, and for people with investment income that is not captured by the PAYE system."
This shows that the HMRC system doesn't know who is on UC. It also show that it hands over ALL data to the DWP on everyone, because its everyoe who has a NI number from age 18.

DWP DATA Protection
oh just this document from the dwp on data protection rights, I wonder how many citizens know about this and use these ?
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/universal-credit-consent-and-disclosure-of-information
and this document shows that the dwp doesn't understand data protection laws and human rights legislation or even consent.

here the DWP approves of abusing disabled people who claim welfare..

Government Response to Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman
The Ombudsman’s investigation concluded in March 2024. For further details of the investigation, please see the Ombudsman’s website. The Ombudsman referred the matter to Parliament to consider, and we are now providing information about the decision.
The Secretary of State made an announcement in the House of Commons on 17 December 2024 and DWP provided the Ombudsman and Parliament with a detailed response.
DWP accepts the Ombudsman’s finding of maladministration, and that we did not respond adequately to the complaint campaign. We have apologised and we are determined to learn lessons from this serious report going forward.
Find more information on the decision in the Government response to Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman’s Investigation into Women’s State Pension age communications and associated issues.

News: April 2025
Just spotted how Citizens Advice and Welfare Rights at various councils have been breaching peoples personal protected data:
I stumbled upon this whilst looking into UC and how people access it online, via 2FA and is 2FA used. I found this > https://authenticate-application.dwp.gov.uk/acceptable-use-policy however this isn't used by UC claimant's and instead is used by (who ?) the privacy policy is here > https://authenticate-application.dwp.gov.uk/privacy-policy
I'll keep an eye upon what's taking shape in this.

With huge thanks to David Williams at Caerphilly citizens advice (who built it) here is a link to an interactive, dummy UC claim form.
Online dummy universal credit claim form
It is incredible, you can put the answers in and it takes you to the next page that you would go to if you were completing the actual form - perfect if you’re completing a form over the phone with someone and need to follow what’s happening yourself.
Also perfect for training purposes.
And what’s more, David keeps an eye on any changes and regularly updates it - you can see the current version is dated 1 November 2022.
An amazing piece of work in my view!
(a)the person cannot accept a claimant commitment because they lack the capacity to do so; or
(b)there are exceptional circumstances in which it would be unreasonable to expect the person to accept a claimant commitment.
